Tribble answers your customer’s spec line by line. Engineering signs off.

RFQs, quality questionnaires, substance surveys, plant changes and TISAX and CMMC requests, answered from what your engineering, quality and compliance owners already approved.

RFQs: Tribble answers the customer’s spec from approved datasheets and test reports. The requirement your validation doesn’t cover goes to engineering, and comes back as a stated deviation.

Quality questionnaires · IATF 16949, AS9100 and customer-specific requirements

Tribble answers for each plant from that plant’s own certificates.

A customer’s supplier self-assessment goes site by site: which standards each plant is certified to, the scope and dates on each certificate, and how you meet the customer’s own requirements on top of IATF 16949. Tribble answers every site from the certificates, quality manual and control plans your quality director keeps. When a question reaches past what a certificate on file covers, it goes to quality.

  • Certificates, scope and dates for every site, from the certificates on file
  • Customer-specific requirements answered from your quality manual and control plans
  • Every answer names its site, its source and who approved it

Materials and substances · PFAS, REACH, RoHS and conflict minerals

Tribble answers substance surveys one part family at a time.

Every customer sends its own survey: PFAS, REACH candidate list substances, RoHS, and the CMRT and EMRT for minerals. Tribble answers each part family from the declaration your product compliance manager approved for it, including the answers that say yes. A connector with a fluoroelastomer seal is declared as one, with the alternative engineering approved.

  • PFAS, REACH and RoHS answers from approved declarations, by part family
  • Your current CMRT and EMRT, attached where the survey asks for them
  • Each declaration shows who approved it and when

Plant moves and customer notification

When a line moves plants, Tribble shows which customers were told the old one.

Moving production from one plant to another means telling each customer before you ship, and often a new PPAP. Tribble keeps each version of an answer like “where is this part made”, who approved it and every RFQ, questionnaire and survey it went into. Your quality team gets the customers who were given the old site, and sends the notification.

  • Each version of an answer, with its approver and date
  • Every RFQ, questionnaire and survey each version went into
  • Export the record for your change notification. Your team sends it
The record behind a manufacturing site answer: two versions, who approved each, and the customers who were told the old plant.

Supplier reviews · Tribble Engage

Tribble has the follow-up drafted before the supplier review ends.

In the quarterly review, the buyer brings the scorecard and supplier quality brings the open questions: the PPAP level for the new part, a test that is still running, the seal material. Tribble Engage suggests the approved answer as each one comes up, and drafts the follow-up with every answer and its source, saved to Outlook drafts for your account manager to send.

  • Approved answers suggested live on recorded calls, with consent
  • Follow-ups drafted to Outlook, each answer with its source
  • Ask in Teams or Slack between reviews
After a quarterly supplier review on Teams: the follow-up in Outlook drafts, with the source behind each answer.

Cybersecurity · TISAX and CMMC

Tribble keeps the TISAX answer and the CMMC answer apart.

Car makers and their Tier 1s ask for the TISAX label of the site that will hold their prototype data. Defense primes flow down CMMC for the systems that hold controlled unclassified information. Tribble answers each from the summary your security manager approved for that site or enclave, so neither customer gets the other’s answer.

Two requests on the same day. The Tier 1 gets the Plant 1 TISAX summary; the defense prime gets the Plant 2 enclave’s CMMC summary.

What a supplier gets asked, from the RFQ to the annual survey.

Grouped by who owns the answer. Every one draws on the same approved datasheets, test reports, certificates and declarations.

FAQ

Common questions.

Does Tribble decide whether a part meets our customer’s spec?

No. Tribble drafts each answer from the datasheets and test reports your engineers approved, with the source on each. A requirement your approved data doesn’t cover goes to engineering, and a person approves every answer before it goes back.

Can Tribble state a deviation in an RFQ?

Yes. When the spec asks for more than your approved data covers, Tribble routes that line to the engineer who owns it and names the gap. Their wording becomes the deviation in the customer’s file, and the answer for the next RFQ on that spec.

Does Tribble approve PPAP or certify our quality system?

No. Your customer approves PPAP and first articles, and your certification body certifies your quality system. Tribble answers questions about them from the certificates, procedures and records your quality director approved. Tribble itself is SOC 2 Type II compliant.

We run several plants with different certificates. How does Tribble keep them straight?

Tribble ties each answer to the site it was approved for, so a question about one plant never gets another plant’s certificate.

Can Tribble answer PFAS, REACH and conflict minerals surveys?

Yes. Tribble answers from the declarations your product compliance team approved for each part family, and attaches your current CMRT or EMRT where the survey asks for it.

We sell several product lines. Will answers get mixed up?

No. Tribble ties each answer to the product line it was approved for, and each source keeps its permissions.

What happens when a spec, material or plant changes?

Tribble shows every RFQ, questionnaire and survey that used the old answer, and who approved it. The new answer goes back to its owner before it’s reused, and your team decides which customers to notify.

Can account managers use Tribble in supplier reviews?

Yes. Tribble Engage suggests approved answers live on recorded calls, answers in Teams or Slack between reviews, and drafts the follow-up to Outlook.

Bring an RFQ that’s waiting on engineering.

Send a redacted RFQ, spec or supplier questionnaire. We’ll answer it from your own datasheets and certificates on the call, and show you which lines Tribble would route to engineering, quality and product compliance. If you don’t have one handy, we’ll use ours.
